  • JEE Mains 2022, Do's and Don’ts

While overall preparation is of paramount importance, it is also extremely important to keep few essential Do's and Don’ts in mind while appearing for the JEE Mains 2022 :

Do’s:

  • Do keep a track of time and reach on time on the day of the time. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall under any circumstances after the exam commences. It is also advisable to visit the examination centre once before the D-day.
  • Do carry your admit card without fail. It is your main entry pass for the examination.
  • Do check the system allotted to you after sitting for the examination. If you face any technical difficulties, let the management know right at the beginning.
  • Do make sure that all details on the attendance sheet are correct and you sign at the prescribed place/column.
  • Do go through all the instructions for answering mentioned on the computer before the exam starts. The time is given to you for that purpose.
  • Do keep your admit card safe and handy throughout the examination as the invigilator may ask to see it anytime.
  • Do carefully follow the instructions given by the invigilator at the beginning of the examination, at half-time and before the end of the exam.
  • Do carry the copy of PwD certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority, if you claim relaxation under PwD category.

Don’ts:

  • Don’t carry any foreign material in the examination hall that has not been asked for, not even a pen.
  • Don’t rush while going through the exam instructions. Read them slowly and carefully and multiple times if needed.
  • Don't carry any prohibited items.
  • Don’t waste your time on questions you don’t know, also don’t spend too much time on one question. This way you will miss out on the questions you could have answered.
  • Don't go out of the examination hall, even after you have completed the exam. Wait till the exam time gets over and your invigilator asks you to.

Also, do remember that this is a golden opportunity for you to take the national level engineering entrance test. Think of it as an opportunity instead of an obstacle. An attitude of gratitude can change the game for you.

Keep Calm and create your own history by giving the best shot!

All the best!
